The Village
of Fowlmere just 6 miles west of the town of Royston has had
its own airfield since WW1.
We cover
the story of the airbase during WW11 from a personal report
given by Victoria Petherick who discribes watching RAF planes
in dogfights with enemy aircraft above the airfield during
the Battle of Britain.
Victoria
then reports of the American's taking over the airfield and
flying Mustang fighter planes from the base. This section
of the documentary has unique unseen footage.
